LTD Premium Reimbursement for Retirees

Below is a sample form letter for use by a retiree to apply for reimbursement of 41 weeks of LTD premiums upon retirement. Only plan members who are not collecting benefits may take advantage of this premium reimbursement offer.

Prior to sending the reimbursement request to Canadian Benefits Consulting Group, the member MUST telephone CP Pension Services at 1-888-511-7557 and request written confirmation that he is on pension and his actual retirement date. The letter below to lynn cross may be modified and used by the retired member. He would then send the request letter to Lynn Cross at Canadian Benefits Consulting Group, along with the letter from CPR Pension Services (copy appended).

Dear Ms. Cross:

I wish to make application for the reimbursement of 41 weeks of LTD premiums paid by me prior to going on pension. I was advised to make application to your office and that you would forward to the Board of Trustees for their decision.

Enclosed is a letter from Canadian Pacific Pension Services with notification of my date of retirement and that I am receiving pension benefits.

Remember, along with this letter you must submit a letter from CP Pension Services confirming your retirement date and that you are receiving a CP pension. That letter is available by telephoning CPR Pension Services at 1-888-511-7557
